Zambrero New Zealand launched in late 2014 and now has since grown to 13 restaurants (7 Auckland, 4 Wellington, Napier and Queenstown), with more to come in mid-2018. If you join the Zambrero New Zealand family, you will be supported by a support office franchisor team with extensive experience in franchising, QSR operations, supply chain, finance, marketing, construction/fit-outs, commercial leasing and more. The support franchisor team will guide you through the whole process of your new restaurant opening and will provide a high level of ongoing support to ensure we give you the best opportunity of success.
As a franchisee you will be entrepreneurial, driven to succeed, customer-centric and not afraid to roll up the sleeves and get your hands dirty when required. No food experience is required, but our aim is to set every franchisee up for success from the outset. This means there is no compromise on the extensive initial training so that you will be equipped with the right set of skills and tools to run a successful restaurant.
From burritos and tacos, to nachos and quesadillas, every item on our menu is freshly-prepared, with a focus on modern, superfood ingredients, to bring new flavours to the Mexican favourites. All our food is made with fresh ingredients and individually highly customisable with gluten free, and dairy free, vegetarian and vegan-friendly options.

Zambrero’s Plate 4 Plate initiative is Zambrero’s way of providing food to those in need. Since being formed in 2005 by Dr Sam Prince, millions of meals have been provided to those living in poverty around the world through the Plate 4 Plate initiative. For every burrito or bowl purchased at Zambrero, a meal is donated through distribution partner Rise Against Hunger, which distributes food to those in the developing world.
