Black & White Coffee Cartel food is designed for the market it services, it is high quality, cost effective, and fresh. Variety is important, trends are important. Coffee is our primary reason for being, with food a close second – after all, it goes hand-in-hand, so we treat food with respect. Our food theme is western style café food and each store is autonomous when it comes to food, we simply systemise quality, provide stores with recommendations and ordering lists / approved supplier lists and provide support and guidance where needed ensuring variety and quality is appropriate for the specific store.
As already mentioned, Black & White coffee is roasted in-house in each store. The traditional coffee chain model has a coffee roaster behind closed doors in a centralised location, the franchisor sells the franchisee roasted coffee beans. Not in our world….. we do artisan, and unlike competing coffee chains, we do it with class. Coffee roasting in a café is a specialist practice, it is exciting for the guests and although we have many locations, the idea of intimacy and boutique is heightened. Our guests know that the coffee is roasted in the store that they are purchasing from. They have a confidence in the store / brand because we go to these lengths of being specialists. We are good at what we do. Our franchisees become coffee roasters, encouraging passion, getting them involved in the amazing wider world of coffee. It is something to dedicate a career to. Our staff have pride in the coffee they make because they are part of the process, from raw to roasted, to being brewed by the barista and then to the customer, all under one roof.
Skills & training
We recognise that when you join Black and White Coffee Cartel you will likely need training, or the opportunity to hone your existing skills on one or more of the following: coffee roasting, barista, managing a team or simply operating your café and business. As the franchisor, we are committed to ensuring you have sufficient initial and any needed on-going training in all aspects of your business to ensure its ongoing success.
