End of an era as FANZ CEO steps down
The Franchise Association of New Zealand has announced long-serving CEO Robyn Pickerill is to retire from the role.
Effective from March 7, Robyn who has held the position for nine years, will step down to take on part-time work with the association overseeing New Memberships and Partnerships.
Making the announcement, FANZ Chair Brad Jacobs said, "On behalf of the Board, all members, and partners of FANZ, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Robyn for her huge contribution to FANZ over the past nine years. Robyn and her team have really transformed FANZ over her time as CEO, making it the very professional Association it is today – one that I am very proud to be part of.
"Robyn's new role will be focused on working in the Memberships and Key Partnerships area of FANZ, in particular working to support the onboarding of new members and dedicating time to sourcing new sponsors for FANZ whilst also maintaining the relationships with our current Strategic Partners and key sponsors. Her new part-time role will also allow her to spend more time on her many other interests including her new grandchild, catching up with distant family members, and working on her lifestyle property in the Bay of Plenty, things which she is very much looking forward to doing."
New CEO Appointment
Katrina King will be joining FANZ as new CEO with a transition programme commencing February 24. In the announcement, FANZ members learned that Katrina comes to FANZ with a very strong background in governance, leadership and communications, and most recently lead the Grief Centre in the role of General Manager. She also has significant experience as both a member and chair on a range of boards and has good knowledge and understanding of franchising.
The Franchise New Zealand media team wishes to acknowledge the enormous efforts and success of Robyn Pickerill during her time as CEO and looks forward to warmly welcoming Katrina King to the New Zealand franchising community from next month.
