9 April 2024 – Super Liquor Holdings has announced the appointment of Morgan McCann as new Chief Executive Officer

Morgan McCann joins the national liquor retail franchise from Mico New Zealand - a division of Fletcher Building - where he has been General Manager, leading a network of 70 locations, 2 Distribution Centres and 520 people.

Prior to joining Fletcher’s, Morgan was with the Foodstuffs co-operative for over 10 years working in a range of senior leadership roles across the business that culminated in being Head of New World, where he was responsible for the market and operational performance of the brand across 106 owner-operated stores.

Morgan started his Foodstuffs career with Liquorland as National Retail Manager after time with Lion Liquor Retail as Merchandise and Marketing Manager and prior to that was at Lion for five years. Morgan says he is very much looking forward to a return to the industry he is so passionate about after spending more than eight years tracking it from the sidelines.

'I’m delighted to be returning to the liquor retail sector, and the opportunity to lead a large New Zealand franchise business in Super Liquor – with franchisees that are passionate about what they do, a brand with strong heritage and the ability to drive positve outcomes in a very dynamic market.'

Morgan will take up his role from Monday 17th June 2024.
