13 January 2020 – Lift Brands is to integrate a 9Round franchise into a newly-modernised Snap Fitness gym in Nelson
The Nelson site will be managed by franchisees Sam & Victoria Helps, who own both the 9Round and Snap Fitness clubs.
The ‘brand in brand’ integration will offer increased value to gym memberships – a growing fitness industry demand, according to Lift Brands CEO, Ty Menzies.
‘The traditional gym model is by no means future-proof, so at Lift Brands we are consistently looking forward and working hard to continue developing and modernising our offering for our members and franchisees alike,’ Mr Menzies said.
The move comes as millennials are pouring more money into gym memberships and boutique fitness classes than ever before, often committing to more than one gym membership to meet their diverse fitness needs.
The 9Round membership offers unlimited group fitness and access to Snap Fitness 24 hours a day to ensure that members can work out the way they want when they want.
‘By forming alliances between the brands, we can elevate our market offering and create the most exciting fitness facility in the country,’ Mr Menzies added.
‘The 9Round product complements, rather than competes with, the Snap offering; as they are both under the Lift Brands umbrella, the same values are shared across brands.
‘We are in an incredibly unique position to be able to have two brands that synergise so well to help us bring this brand-in-brand experience to life,’ he said.
Following what is expected to be a successful launch in Nelson, Lift Brands has plans to continue to roll out the offering across Australia and New Zealand and is currently on the hunt for appropriate franchisees.
Nelson Snap Fitness owner operators, Sam and Victoria Helps, are excited to be adding a 9Round gym to their portfolio and simultaneously bringing a world-first offering to the city.
‘It’s incredibly exciting and a real privilege to launch the very first brand-in-brand Snap Fitness and 9Round in the world,’ Victoria said.
‘Since joining the Lift Brands family in 2019, we’ve loved the owner operator journey and the brand in brand launch will be the perfect way to round out another successful year in business.’
9Round and Snap Fitness Nelson are taking membership enquiries now and will be officially open on 18 January 2020.
