July 2016 - McDonald’s NZ has confirmed its McDelivery service will be trialled at its New Lynn and Glenfield restaurants in Auckland.

From 20 July, customers in New Lynn have been able to get Macca’s delivered straight to their door, with McDonald’s Glenfield joining the McDelivery trial on 27th July to give more Aucklanders a chance to try the new service. Delivery will be available within a limited radius from each restaurant, defined by postcode.

McDonald’s spokesperson, Joanne Mitchell says the company has responded to public demand.

‘McDelivery is about offering our customers choice and convenience,’ Mitchell said. ‘Since the launch of McDelivery in other markets, Kiwis have been asking for McDonald’s delivery in New Zealand. All of our innovations – from McCafe in Drive-Thru to All Day Breakfast, and now McDelivery, have been driven by the changing needs of our customers,’ adds Mitchell.

Customers will be able to order from menulog.co.nz choosing from a range of the core menu items, including burgers, fries, desserts and All Day Breakfast. New Lynn and Glenfield restaurants will offer delivery from 5pm-10:30pm, 7 days a week. A minimum order and delivery fee will apply.

McDonald’s New Zealand will be closely monitoring the trial and has already registered the ‘McDelivery’ trademark in New Zealand consisting of a golden McDonald's arch zipping along on a stylised skateboard.
