3 November 2014 - With excitement building towards the announcement of the Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards later this month, the Franchise Council of Australia has named the winners of the MYOB FCA Excellence in Franchising Awards.
The big winners this year were Wendy’s Supa Sundaes, which took out the Established Franchisor of the Year title, Shingle Inn, which was named Emerging Franchisor, and last year’s winner Specsavers which won the International Franchisor category. While Wendy’s and Specsavers are both well-known brands in New Zealand, Shingle Inn is just launching its boutique café brand here.
Another face familiar to New Zealand franchisors (and Franchise New Zealand readers) is Greg Nathan, who was inducted into Australia’s Franchising Hall of Fame. As founder of the Franchise Relationships Institute, Greg has made a huge contribution to the understanding and development of the franchise sector on both sides of the sector and beyond.
