MAORI TV features franchising
Last year’s Westpac Supreme Franchisee of the Year, Bill Sampson of Fastway Couriers Tauranga, was on Maori TV recently when the new business programme He Whare Pakihi focused on franchising. Also appearing on He Whare Pakihi were Simon Lord and Sally Knight of Franchise New Zealand – you can view the programme below. We hope the programme will help viewers, Maori and non-Maori, to understand how franchising works and encourage them to learn more about the opportunities available.
Although of interest to all New Zealanders, He Whare Pakihi has a uniquely Maori perspective. Presented by Antony Royal, the show moves away from the obscure jargon and acronyms commonly used in business and uses language we all understand. The focus is on education, employment, skill development and Maori business stories – such as Bill, whose whanau has been heavily involved in his success.
