A robust opportunity

Pack & Send moves and handles freight through a network of retail stores with a business model designed as a ‘one-stop-shop' for logistics solutions. Our success has been built on a commitment to provide to our customers convenient, personalised and value-added solutions when they need to send virtually anything, anywhere.

Pack & Send New Zealand started operating during the global financial crisis; manoeuvred its way through the Christchurch earthquakes unscathed; and has been smashing Covid for six! Throughout these three monumental business disruptions, Pack & Send has demonstrated its strength, agility and resilience. It offers franchisees the full package when it comes to training, support and business success, regardless of the economic climate.

Pack & Send has been experiencing ongoing record growth:

  • Despite Covid sales were up another 34% over the 21/22 FY
  • Our customer transactions grew 24%
  • We opened three new service centres in 2021
  • Deemed an Essential Service provider during lockdowns our service centres were still able to operate servicing households and businesses in the community
  • PACK & SEND was announced as a finalist in the Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards

If you’re after a future-proofed investment with a proven business model, look no further than a Pack & Send franchise.

How does it work?

Pack & Send provides an easy drop-off delivery service for consumers, Trade Me buyers and sellers, tourists and backpackers, university students, small to medium businesses and large corporations. Fundamental to our offering is a professional custom packaging service, with expertise in handling fragile, large, awkward and valuable items.

Located primarily on city fringes with street frontage for optimum exposure, stores average a manageable 100 square metres. Low staffing levels, attention to expense management and 5-5½ days a week with normal business hours add to the attraction for potential franchisees seeking a new more relaxed lifestyle away from the rat race.

Why choose Pack & Send?

  • New Zealand's largest range of freight solutions under one roof - we just 'Ship Better!'
  • Solid brand and reputation with minimal competition;
  • Awarding-winning proven franchise system;
  • Leading-edge Point of Sale logistics software;
  • Brand Lead Guarantee;
  • Unlimited profit potential in the lucrative and recession proof freight and logistics industry.

Plus - Multiple revenue streams

Pack & Send operates a multi-channel business model which combines a range of digital (online) and retail (service centre) options covering the needs for individuals, small businesses and large enterprises.

Pack & Send’s diversified income streams through multiple sales channels (visit, call, online), along with its investment in logistics software platforms and extensive scope of services on offer, have served its franchisees extremely well.

Investing in the future by spending on technology, marketing and ramped-up franchise pastoral care has further strengthened Pack & Send’s position. As businesses continue to pivot towards online sales channels to sell their products, they become more reliant on distribution. This validates why the parcel and freight industry is still thriving – so any time is a good time to look at a Pack & Send franchise.

Skills & training

What makes Pack & Send truly unique is the team of people behind the brand - franchisees - trained professional ‘owner operators' who have enthusiastically embraced Pack & Send's ‘no limits' culture with a commitment to going the extra mile for their customers.
Franchisees attend a two-week training course at Pack & Send team head office in Christchurch. This training includes covering areas of customer service, packaging and freight, accounting, franchising, and marketing techniques, computer and business systems that include point of sale software and company intranet as well as the online operations manual. Two weeks of in-store training is provided as well as regular ongoing support.
