We want our Franchise partners to feel they offer a true local mix of products on offer while having a NZ Roasted Fairtrade Organic Coffee and supported by a Frappe/Cold Drink Program to reach all possible customers. Esquires Cafés offer freshly prepared made-in-store cabinet food and an all-day brunch menu from the kitchen. Our café offering keeps evolving over time based on what’s popular with our customers and we pride ourselves on this flexibility.

Our Support System/Team

One of the key benefits of owning a franchise is the support system that is part of the equation.

At Esquires we pride ourselves on our comprehensive support team who have been there done that and, in most cases, have owned their own cafés or had a wide experience in the hospitality industry. We provide full initial training and ongoing training instore including partnering with industry specialists for continued coffee training in each region for new and existing staff.

It is our goal to make each Esquires Café franchise a success, so we work right alongside you as we reach for that common goal. Our expertise and knowledge are at your disposal.

Business Setup

Our goal is not just to make you a café superstar. We want to ensure you truly understand how to run a business. We work with Xero Accounting and SmartPayroll to ensure you are learning to run and operate a successful business training and initial set-up with these systems are included in your introduction to our brand. Great businesses recognize every part of the process of financial success with an understanding that the costs are just as important as knowing your customers and delivering superior service and coffee.

The Café Build/Outfitting

First and most importantly, we don’t give you a fixed build price. We show you all the costs and work with multiple national contractors to ensure that you get “the actual cost” of building your café.

We will help you find your site as well as help manage the design and build process. Once this is underway, you will be guided and assisted throughout the process of setting up your Esquires Café ready for the first day of trade. We ensure food licensing requirements are met, that you understand them, and you have the systems put in place to make this process easy from the outset.

Menu and New Products

We spend a considerable amount of time and effort keeping up with what’s going on and what consumer food and beverage trends are taking hold. We are constantly reviewing, testing, and tweaking our menu to keep abreast of these trends and passing this information on to our franchise partners to implement in their market.
