2020 National Franchise Conference postponed

19 March - The 2020 National Franchise Conference has been postponed

Following the developments of Covid-19 and the resulting uncertainty, the Franchise Association of New Zealand has regretfully postponed the National Franchise Conference for one year. The new date is yet to be confirmed.

'Whilst we hope that the situation will improve over the next few months, we appreciate that people are juggling many priorities and it is best for FANZ to be definitive in our stance,' says CEO Robyn Pickerill.

'The Health and Safety of our attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, staff and broader community is our top priority, and of course there are also many practical issues which make holding any event nonviable at this time.'

'For those members who have paid deposits for conference registration already, you will be contacted by FANZ in the next few days and FANZ will arrange for you to have a full refund.'

'The highly fluid situation also makes future planning extremely difficult. FANZ will be reviewing all other events for the next few months and will shortly be advising the status of those.'

With sell-out events in the last couple of years, the National Franchise Conference will be sorely missed. Planned for 17-19 June, the 2020 Conference was due to feature a range of international and local presenters talking on topics related to the conference theme of ‘Shifting gears - prospering in a changing world’.
