Kiwi franchisors - the USA wants you

Franchise
The US Embassy is inviting New Zealand franchisors and investors to attend the International Franchise Expo in New York as a member of the US Embassy delegation.

The 2016 International Franchise Expo, supported by the International Buyer Programme (IBP), will be held in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, New York, from June 16-18, 2016.  The event serves as North America’s largest franchise exposition.  Features of IFE 2016 include over 400 of the most popular and proven franchise concepts and opportunities as well as the US industry’s most comprehensive conference and educational programmes.  More information about the show can be found here.

Embassy Delegates will receive complimentary admission for the three days of the event and a 50% discount off any symposia and seminars, as well as access to the following:

International Business Center (IBC):  The IBC will be located at the front of the 1100 aisle, on the IFE exhibitor show floor of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.  The IBC is a place where international visitors and exhibitors can reserve and use private meeting rooms or just relax and have some refreshments.  The IBC can be an office away from home while visiting the International Franchise Expo.  Department of Commerce Trade Specialists will be onsite to provide matchmaking assistance and export trade counseling to international attendees and exhibitors.

Business-to-Business (B2B) Matchmaking:  US suppliers and international buyers have the opportunity to connect with each other before, during, and after the show with the exclusive business-to-business matchmaking programme.  Through the programme, attendees are able to contact a company directly to schedule their own appointments. See http://www.ifeinfo.com/exhibitor-list.cfm for additional information and appointment scheduling options.

Global Market Insight Programme (GMIP)/Global Chat (B2G):  Global Chat will be offered at IFE 2016 to those exhibiting franchisors seeking counselling from various countries and regions around the world.  The one-on-one Global Chat sessions will take place in the International Business Center at the Jacob K. Javits Center during IFE 2016 show hours.  Sessions last approximately 45 minutes to one hour and are available through registration prior to the event.  Walk-in appointments will be granted based on availability of our participating Commercial Specialists.  Please contact Eric Johnson at Eric.Johnson@trade.gov for further details on registration.  A registration facility will be made available by mid-May 2016.

Cocktail Reception:  In appreciation of the IBP, a complimentary reception will be held for international delegates, IBP delegation leaders, and US DOC members.  The reception provides an excellent opportunity to network with sponsors and franchising executives from overseas countries, meet new business partners, and renew old acquaintances while enjoying views of New York’s landmarks while networking with sponsors.  The reception will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016, aboard the Hornblower Hybrid from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm.
