Diners choose a small, medium or big plate and tell the servers what they want on the plate from a range of hot slow-cooked meats, tasty braises, pilafs, tagines and delicious salads. It’s an eatery like no other and perfectly positioned to meet the adventurous-, sustainable-, conscious- and casual-eating trends of today.
The model includes an open bakery creating delicious treats right in front of customers and, as well as quick turnaround sit-down dining, is a thriving takeaway and catering business. Big Fig is not only a delicious concept but an ethical business built on values of family, sustainability and cooking with soul.

Big Fig food is affordable, delicious and healthy – three things that don’t often come together in the food world. We built our model on the view that ‘everyone should be able to afford to eat well’ – be they vegan students, hungry tradies, retired couples, healthy families and everyone in between.
Skills & training
We’re looking for like-minded, energetic and motivated people, ideally with experience in management and working with systems.
You’ll be supported with in-person training, foolproof systems and procedures and a year-round communications plan. We will pass on our knowledge and experience by working closely with you and be focused on your success year-round.
Ideally, you’ll have experience in several of these areas:
