InXpress seeks people to build a good income from a small investment
Having ventured into the corporate world in the Philippines at age 20, Eugene Rusel worked in IT while taking part-time jobs teaching in a university and selling real estate. Following his dreams first to Malaysia and then Australia, Eugene chased higher-paying roles with improved exposure to new ways of doing business. After 15 years, he felt he had the life experience, the skills and the work ethic to take a real stab at running his own business. The next step was finding an opportunity where he could go further than just making a living and really excel.
‘With my experience, I wanted to take an existing business model and run with it, rather than get bogged down setting up a brand-new business and brand,’ he recalls. ‘Also, I wanted to maximise my chances of success. Running a franchise eliminates certain risks that new entrepreneurs would usually encounter.’ Eugene heard about InXpress and, in July 2018, started his own business. He hasn’t looked back since.
Founded in the UK in 1999, InXpress handles logistics for SMEs to save them time, money and hassle, using innovative technology to make it easy for companies to send packages anywhere in the world. The company’s 380-plus franchisees seek out new clients, identify their issues and suggest solutions. ‘They are responsible for customer acquisition, and then benefit from the recurring income their clients generate,’ explains Geoff Hargreaves, the company’s Franchise Development Manager. ‘The investment is just $29,900 +gst and, once established, a franchisee can achieve an income of NZ$20,000 a month – or even more!
‘We focus on smaller clients who can benefit the most from our massive buying power with the courier companies and appreciate our straightforward systems. Once a franchisee has set up a new account, the customer just needs to log into our WebShip Plus booking system to arrange everything from single shipments to multiple orders on an easy-to-use platform. WebShip Plus manages quotes, invoices and shipment tracking; the courier company collects the parcels and arranges customs clearance.
Three big benefits
There were three major factors that convinced Eugene to join InXpress. First, the business has very low overheads and operating costs, and can be directly scaled up as you grow. Second, there’s no need to touch goods – you can focus on growing sales without being directly involved in the shipping process. And third, it’s flexible enough to be run from anywhere – you don’t need a permanent office or large staff, just a laptop, phone and transport.
‘Eugene has shown the sort of commitment and determination to succeed that is an ideal match for the InXpress franchise,’ says Geoff. ‘We have opportunities all over New Zealand for people who can do the same, so if you have some business experience and are ready to fly, contact us today!’
