Touch Up Guys have all the right answers

Buying a franchise can be a daunting prospect. You’ll find yourself wondering, ‘Are there really enough customers for this business? Will I receive good training and support? Can I make money?’

Those are perfectly normal concerns – but if you choose a Touch Up Guys franchise, the answer to all three questions is almost certainly “Yes,” says Martin Smith.

‘We’ve been operating in New Zealand for nearly 26 years and several of our franchisees have been with us for over 20,’ says Martin who is NZ master franchisee for Touch Up Guys. ‘Most of them had no previous experience, which says a lot for just how solid this business is. We have great opportunities throughout New Zealand, so we want to hear from potential operators right now.’

Touch Up Guys is a highly successful mobile business that repairs vehicles by removing bumper scuffs, stone chips, scratches and other damage. Since launching in New Zealand, its franchisees have found constant demand for their services from commercial, trade and domestic customers. ‘Being a mobile service is a big plus for car dealers, saving them time and money and keeping the cars on the lot as they are prepared for sale,’ explains Martin. ‘Domestic customers also love us as we work onsite at their home or office, providing them with convenience and cost-effective repairs.’

Men and women welcome

Martin explains that Touch Up Guys’ first-class training and specialised equipment mean that new franchisees don’t need repair knowledge – just an eye for colour, attention to detail and the ability to chat to people and sell their services. ‘If you can do that, you can enjoy so much variety – working on someone’s Mazda Familia one day and a $400,000 Aston Martin the next.

‘We are looking for men and women who are enthusiastic and motivated to own and run their own business and achieve success through high quality work and excellent customer service. Our ideal franchisee likes working with cars and is a bit of a perfectionist. In return, Touch Up Guys offers you high earning potential, low overheads with a fixed franchise fee, full training, ongoing backup and support, and the opportunity of a lifestyle that meets your needs.’

A complete Touch Up Guys package costs between $88,000 and $120,000 +gst depending on van leasing options. ‘This includes an exclusive territory, a van fitted out with all the equipment and colour matching technology you need, and a three-week training course on the Gold Coast,’ Martin says.

‘If you take pride in what you do and are comfortable working with your hands, I want to hear from you - now! We need more Touch Up Guys - and girls - throughout New Zealand to service this ever-growing market.’
