BurgerFuel presents Winner Winner, a modern franchise concept specialising in the finest woodfired and crispy fried chicken

BurgerFuel Group (BFG) has more opportunities than ever before for entrepreneurial New Zealanders looking to dive into business ownership. With a recent refocus on the New Zealand market, where they have operated as a successful franchisor for almost 20 years, BFG have been hard at work expanding their stable of brands. They’ve added two exciting new concepts alongside New Zealand’s cult favourite, BurgerFuel.

The first is quick-service burger brand, Shake Out, which offers a fast, premium experience based around a simple menu and cashless technology. The second is the recently-acquired Winner Winner, which offers a wholesome, authentic menu of woodfired and fried chicken with a generous range of delicious salads, sides and dessert pies.

With franchise opportunities now available for all three brands, BurgerFuel Group not only provides a modern, robust, supportive franchise model to franchisees, but a wealth of choice when it comes to brand fit, location, and business size.

Winner Winner, Chicken … shop?

‘Winner, Winner, chicken dinner’ is a phrase Kiwis have used for decades, but it took a team of passionate foodies working in the hospitality industry to turn it into a modern casual dining and takeaway concept. Founded in Hamilton East in 2016, the first Winner Winner store proved the success of the model and now BFG plans to appoint franchisees across New Zealand.

The founders of Winner Winner wanted an easy option for healthy, fast, fresh dinners after work that was inclusive to all food preferences and didn’t scrimp on good vibes,’ explains Hemi Parbhu, Franchising Manager for BFG. ‘When they couldn’t find it, they crafted it themselves. The generous menu of wholesome, comfort food came together naturally and was complemented by an all-day eatery where everyone was welcome.’

Winner Winner specialises in the finest woodfired and crispy fried chicken using only natural, free-range and nutritious ingredients. There are daily salads, indulgent classics, vegan and vegetarian options, and sides include such creative suggestions as kimchi fries, turmeric and ginger bone broth, vegan fried shrooms and a twist on mac’n’cheese. No meal is complete without a slice of their famous Pinky Pie, either. All this is served up in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that’s as passionate and down-to-earth as the food.

‘Winner Winner has an uncompromising passion for the community in which it lives, sourcing high-quality ingredients from local suppliers and giving back to the community with friendly service and local initiatives,’ says Hemi. ‘As a result, it has a local cult following and a reputation for always providing an authentic experience. That’s what we want franchisees to take around the country.’

The opportunity…

So, what’s in it for you?

‘Winner Winner is growing, and this means we’re looking for like-minded people who value great food, great experiences, and great people to join the family,’ says Hemi.

‘It means you can step straight into business ownership with Winner Winner and BurgerFuel Group. Owning your own chicken shop will allow you to be your own boss – without all the scary start-up stuff. BurgerFuel Group have done the hard work that comes with building a brand and a concept; we’re proud of the awesome reputation we’ve gained and now it’s time to share this with others.

‘As a Winner Winner franchisee, you’ll become part of a group with over 20 years’ experience. Alongside BFG’s proven systems, you’ll benefit from spot-on marketing, brand recognition, contemporary store design, a robust operational structure, world-class training systems and supply chain support – win-win! You’ll get the tools you need to build, operate and grow a successful business while having a bit of fun along the way.’

Location location

Winner Winner is keen to spread its wings initially in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Manawatu-Whanganui and Taranaki regions, so if you’re a part of these communities, Hemi wants to hear from you.

‘But if you’re based outside these regions we’d still love to hear from you,’ she invites. ‘It’s a matter of right person, right place, right time. So if you’re picking up what we’re putting down, and you’re ready to step into the financial and lifestyle benefits of business ownership, then get in touch - we’re open to all opportunities.’
