Franchise Association recognises Past Chairs

The Franchise Association of New Zealand formally recognised the contribution of its Past Chairs at a recent function

Photo courtesy Warren Sare, BNZ.The Franchise Association formally thanked its Past Chairmen for the time and effort they put into creating and growing the Association at a small ceremony at the recent conference held in the Bay of Islands. The current Chairman, David Foster, presented the Past Chairmen present with a commemorative lapel pin to mark their contribution.

The Franchise Association was formed in July 1996. Up until that time it had previously been a chapter of the Australian-based association which had gone under various names from ‘Franchisors Association of Australia’ to ‘Franchise Association of Australia and New Zealand.’

The Past Chairmen are:

  • David McCulloch       (1996-1997)
  • Stewart Germann      (1997-1999)

  • Robert Fowler            (2001-2003)
  • Simon Lord                (2003-2005)
  • Mike Henderson         (2005-2006)
  • Miles Agmen-Smith   (2006-2008)
  • Estelle Logan             (2008-2011)

Prior to the creation of the Franchise Association of New Zealand,
the previous chairmen of New Zealand chapters were:

  • Tony Beavan              (1987-1990)
  • Fraser Heaven           (1990-1995)
  • David McCulloch        (1995-1996)

Past Chairmen maintain an active interest in the future of the Association, meeting twice a year with the current Chairman.
