‘BEST OF THE BEST’ ACCOLADE

Green Acres Canterbury has been named the company’s Master Franchise of the Year for 2014

Last November, the Green Acres system was named Home Services Franchise System of the Year in the 2013/14 Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards, making Canterbury the ‘best of the best.’

Canterbury master franchisee John Lane is delighted with the award. ‘It’s fantastic to receive recognition for a great job, but really the most pleasing thing is that our business is enjoying great growth, many clients are being helped out and so many of our owner operators are succeeding and growing personally.’

Green Acres say that business in Canterbury has more than quadrupled in the last ten years, with particular growth in the last two. With so many people moving houses and businesses relocating the demand for services such as Green Acres has grown exponentially.

Paul MacFarlane, Green Acres’ National Franchise Support Manager, believes the growth in the Canterbury business and the award comes down to two things: trust and quality. ‘The Canterbury team have invested heavily in training and support for their owner operators,’ he says. ‘Clients need to trust the people that come into their homes and businesses. It is testament to the Canterbury team that the quality, reliability and trust they have developed with their clients is second-to-none ¬– a fact that is backed up by the large number of new business coming from client referrals.’

Looking ahead, master franchisee John Lane is optimistic. ‘The growth that we have seen over the last couple of years shows no sign of slowing,’ he says. ‘It’s all about keeping the momentum going while maintaining our high level of service and support for both our clients and owner operators alike. It is fabulous to be doing our bit to help Canterbury’s recovery, as well as offering business opportunities to families and individuals wanting a great start and secure future in their life.’
