‘By having a full virtual reality sub-division, we can take clients into this world where they can even adjust details according to the time of day or season. We can show a customer their ideal home from the comfort of their laptop – no-one else in the country does that, and it reduces the likelihood of costly changes later on.’
But Milestone Homes isn’t just about smart technology – it’s about working smarter, too. ‘We aim to remove the complexity that is so common in most residential housing companies’ processes,’ Nigel explains. ‘We’ve worked out the most cost-effective way of completing every stage using quality New Zealand products throughout. The way we put a roof on, for example, is the same for every Milestone Home. Every part of the process has been put under the microscope and examined with a view to simplifying any process or part.
‘Feedback from customers has demonstrated that our smarter approach to construction has resulted in a clearer understanding by them of the whole process. The end results are homes that are affordable, comfortable, durable, and practical – with contented customers!’
Milestone Homes has created a base of 30 stylish and functional plans with a massive 180 variations for the client to personalise. ‘By using standard measurements, our professionals have been able to minimise waste and expense and deliver outstanding homes which are value for money,’ Nigel says.
