FAB GROUP PLANS UK LAUNCH FOR NEW BRAND
August 2017 – As new Caci outlets continue to open, FAB Group announces the brand for its new offshore venture launching in the UK later this year.
FAB Group operates the Caci franchise in New Zealand, which is the country’s leader in skin rejuvenation and appearance medicine. The business is one of New Zealand’s most successful franchisees and recently opened two new clinics in Dunedin and Birkenhead. The company plans to open 11 more clinics in 2017, taking their total to 50 in New Zealand, with the aid of a new funding model which has opened up new opportunities that might not have been available otherwise.
‘Our unique funding model essentially offers someone the chance to walk into their own clinic for an investment of $125,000,’ says Glenice Riley, Global Chief Operating Officer of FAB Group. ‘It’s important we find the right franchisee to suit every community and we hope the unique funding model will help.”
The company also has plans for global expansion under the new Skinsmiths brand, which was announced last month. The name is designed to highlight the company’s focus on skin health, while the term ‘smith’ acknowledges the craftsmanship involved.
The aim is to have the first Skinsmiths clinic open in England by the end of the year. Founders Jackie and David Smith, are currently living in the UK and have identified several potential locations for the first Skinsmiths clinic. Earlier this year, FAB Group announced plans to list publicly on the New Zealand and Australian stock exchanges by 2019.
Jackie says, ‘Our goal is to expand our clinic model around the globe, and we have chosen the UK market to launch our new brand, Skinsmiths. The fragmented market is a sweet spot for us, with potential customers who are facing many of the same skin problems as our customers in New Zealand.’
‘Skinsmiths occupies a niche in the market: we’re a skin enhancement clinic, embracing innovative treatments that deliver visible, beautiful results through treatment plans. We believe everyone deserves to feel confident in their skin, and we’re excited to share it with people around the world.’
The FAB Group’s plans come after strong growth, with revenue growing at least 15 percent compounding year-on-year during the last six years. Glenice Riley says, ‘The Group is working on securing locations for Skinsmiths. We plan to open five Skinsmiths clinics in the UK by the end of the year, and 40 within the next two years. The global team is being established, and a support office has been set up in London. Our efforts to expand into other overseas markets will also continue.’
