Grime Off Now is a name you can’t easily forget – but there’s more to the house and building washing franchise than just a catchy name. Founded by Ryan Hamilton seven years ago, Grime Off Now has developed a variety of services, backed up with specialist systems that help franchisees develop truly profitable businesses. Now the company is set to expand nationwide from its Upper North Island base. 

‘This is a low entry cost, high return opportunity which offers franchisees multiple income streams,’ explains Ryan. ‘Homes and buildings are big investments and need to be looked after. A job might start with wall and window washing, but can soon grow into gutter cleaning, roof washing and water blasting of decks, concrete drives, paths and retaining walls. That can easily double the value of a job, and create recurring business through regular scheduling, too. All this before I even mention Bug Off Now.’ 

Bug Off Now is a secondary insect control service which is included with the franchise. ‘One of the most popular services is spider spraying immediately after washing a house. Without treatment, it only takes a day or two for cobwebs to reappear but our treatment carries a three month cobweb-free guarantee. And Bug Off Now offers other income streams too, including ant control, fly control and cockroach control. We’ve recently added a new product, “Mould Kill” as well, to help customers keep their homes clean and healthy. Altogether, these services can add another 25 percent to our franchisees’ turnover.’ 

Of course, there’s more to a good franchise than a good product, and Ryan’s knowledge of company start-ups shows in the attention to detail behind Grime Off Now. Franchisees receive a suite of internal business systems including cloud-based administration, customer relations management and personalised quoting software. Marketing support is spearheaded by a professionally-produced website.

A family man in his 30s, Ryan is keen to hear from potential franchisees who share his vision and ambition to take Grime Off Now’s market-leading status in the Waikato to the rest of the country. Territories are based on approximately 50,000 residential dwellings, but are adjustable to include plenty of opportunities for commercial work. The franchise fee of $38,000 to $48,000 +gst includes equipment, training, systems and manuals.
